Don't Allow Mistakes to Dim Your Brilliance

Screenwriting is a competitive business. Opportunities to get your script read by industry professionals are hard to come by. Don’t blow your chance due to sloppy mistakes and improper formatting that mark you as an amateur.

Let Your Script Shine

ScriptShine’s proofreading service will ensure that your script is error-free and professionally formatted so that you’ll feel confident submitting to contests, producers, managers, and agents.

All changes are made directly to your screenplay, so you’ll receive a pristine script that’s ready to go.

You’ll also receive a second version of your script with the changes tracked in red type so that you can easily identify—and learn from—what was corrected.

It’s fast—typical turnaround times are 1 -1.5 weeks, but if you need it even faster, rush service is available.

Errors corrected include, but are not limited to:
  • Spelling errors
  • Incorrect versions of homonyms such as  your/you're, its/it's, etc.
  • Punctuation errors, including missing and incorrect use of commas, apostrophes, hyphens, and quotation marks
  • Incorrect subject/verb agreement
  • Capitalization errors
  • Missing words
  • Repeated words
  • Incorrect scene headings
  • Tricky formatting issues such as flashbacks, montages, and phone call

More Hope, Less Anxiety

As a fellow screenwriter I know the hope and anxiety you feel every time you send a script out. I have over three years of experience as a script editor and proofreader—over three years of helping writers feel a little more hopeful and a little less anxious about submitting their scripts to contests, agents and managers.

I’ve been hired to write scripts, have had several scripts optioned, and placed in multiple contests, including making the Top 50 in the Nicholl Fellowship. I know what it takes to get a script to industry standards.

Here's what past clients have had to say:

You are amazing and a blessing. It's reassuring to have someone with your skill set proofreading before making a screenplay submission. Likewise, it's astonishing to see how many errors turn up. Your speed and insight are most appreciated!

Thank you very much for your amazing and fast work!

How it Works

1. Tell Me About Your Project
Use the order form, or send an email to [email protected] and let me know the page count, which service you’d like (proofreading or editing), whether you need rush service, and anything else you’d like me to know about your project. I will let you know your project's turnaround time and confirm the rate.

Please note: 2 day and 5 day rush available for proofreading, 5 day rush is available for editing. Rush service is subject to availability on my schedule—I never take a rush job if I don’t have the time to provide exceptional service.

2. Submit Your Script
Email your script to [email protected] in its original format (Final Draft, Movie Magic, Fade In, etc.) so that edits can be made directly to your screenplay. For more information about what formats I work in, please click here. I will send you a PayPal invoice which is due before I begin working.

3. Receive Your Error-Free Script
You will receive a pristine script, ready for you to submit to the industry with confidence. You will also receive a second version of your script with the changes tracked in red type so that you can easily identify—and learn from—what was corrected.
